Jorhat Gets It at Last!

Inter-state Bus Terminus in Jorhat
Jorhat will be the third city of Assam, after Guwahati and Silchar, to have an Inter-state bus Terminus. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi yesterday laid the foundation stone of the terminus which will be constructed on 24 bighas of land, where Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC)'s workshop now stands. The ASTC bus station will also be shifled to the new site, from the heart of the city. Many people hopes that it will solve traffic problems.
Funded by the North eastern Council (NEC), the Rs 11.36 crore three-storey bus terminus will also house a Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL)'s petrol depot. NRL's petrol depots are a big favourite in Assam, because of their World class services.
